One of my current favourite DJ/Producer is Fake Blood, I have been a huge fan of his mixes for the longest time. And he will be making a stop in Toronto at Mod Club on Friday, March 18th. Earlier this week Embrace Presents announced a contest for DJ’s across Toronto to create an original mixtape and the DJ with the most “likes” will have a chance to open for Fake Blood. It’s official, as of 1:00 AM today, Coachella officially released the 2011 lineup. And I must say, I couldn’t sleep last night from all the excitement. The Sunday lineup just makes it so worth to travel all the way from Toronto, Canada to Indio, California for this three day event. So to celebrate this year’s Coachella, I made a mix-tape of my personal favourites. All of these artists will be performing this year, see you all in April!

I have always been a huge fan of the duo DJs LAZRtag, I had to feature them this week when I found out that they had released an amazing mix tape six months ago on their SoundCloud page. These guys are from Los Angeles, California dealing with various record labels, and also keeping their style fresh and new by remixing music from not just one genre. Mustard Pimp – Catastrophe Mixtape Series Vol 3 by mustard pimp
When it comes to mixtapes you have got to hand it to Mustard Pimp. They are constantly coming out with the best track selections and mixes. Just a couple of days they released a special mixtape where the listeners guess the tracklist and win free prizes from them. I saw these guys back in June at WrongBar, and I must say it was one of my favourite shows. They were the nicest guys, and their entire set was insane. I cannot wait for Mustard Pimp to come back to Toronto.
